1st time out with the evo tonight!

Well, i got the evo out tonight to play on the 1/8 mile. I wish it were 1/4, but at least I got some practice staging. The first few runs I was using the e brake to stage. Well, I couldnt get the ebrake all the way down everytime I left the line. I found my ebrake just hanging on a bit for a few runs.

This is the 1st time I have ever ran down a track with any car. Not too shabby. I was getting better and better, but then the car started spinning the tires pretty bad. My buddies said the car was swaying all over lol. Current setup is in my sig.

1st run of the night:
9.25 @90mph
60 Ft: dont remember, I was so disappointed, I threw that slip away! lol

2nd run:
8.27@ 88 mph
60ft: 2.09! lol Im learning.

3rd run:
7.66@93mph
60ft: 1.7!! Now I am getting there!

After this run, I was starting to spin. I continued 2 more times and clicked off a 8.42, then a 8.04. I think the 255/35 v12s arent the best for drag.

All in all, I am very pleased with my night. Made good times for a beginner!

You have the setup to go quicker. You just need more practice.

Yea, I feel I should be able to get a very low 7. I wish it was the 1/4, but like I said, its giving me practice, nonetheless.

When I was spinning the last two runs, it seems like it was the clutch. I got out of the car once stopped and popped the hood to see if I could smell it. Nothing. The car launches hard leading me to believe its not the clutch slipping. My buddies said the car was swaying all over the place down track. Once I was at full boost in 2,3 and4 my last run, i just saw my tach rev. I need to go back with some 17s and a better tire possibly.
