For those who know me I normally road race but figured I would take my EVO to the drag strip...

This pass was in full road race set up, that being suspension, alignment, and the tires were 275/35/18 Goodyear RC road racing slicks.

The car is a 2005 EVO 8, 3000 lbs, 324 HP / 378 tq on AMS mustang dyno. The big mods are FP White turbo, kelford 264/260 cams, AMS tune on a grimspeed BC using sunoco 110 leaded fuel. A full mod list can be found on my site in my Sig, but these are the big power mods.

I ran a 11.7@115 with a 1.7 60'. This is my first time to the strip with the EVO after owning it now for 5 years. I'm not exactly sure if these times are good, but I'm happy with

 

Nice job for your first time out...Post a break down of your time slip & we may be able to give you some pointers on where you can improve...

 

That's damn good if you're a seasoned drag racer, let alone it being your first time out. Great times for that power level!

Thanks guys, the biggest restriction was the tires I think. It takes at least one hard road course lap to get them to temp.
