Another angle:

What an awesome event, absolutely destroys anything we have up here at New England Dragway.

I have over 300 vids from the event and am still working on getting some online.

For now I pulled the evo video out and got it up on youtube. I have about 6 or 7 others so far just no time to edit them.

Congrats Canexican! I had seen an evo with a shoot on the back from a distance and then I saw you in the 10.5 class and was like "come on I saw the shoot stop sand bagging". Clearly I was confused, I went over after and saw it and realized it was stock and I thought DAMN! Good job.

Just curious, but what's required to run in the 10s at the track as far as safety goes?

roll cage?
fire bottle?
chute?
cut-off switch?

nice runs and congrats on the record

If I'm back home I will be at Commerce Dragway in GA. If I go back to Nebraska I'll be at KCIR in Kansas City. Guess I'll call the track.

Commerce gave me lots of crap when I was down there on my busa. It has a 6" stretch, and they wanted me to have a chain guard, which I didn't have, and they wanted me to have full leathers (I had a full nylon suit). They let me race for that day only with what I had. They stopped me after my first pass was well north of 130mph.

At MIR, all they looked for was a helmet. That is the way it should be.

Megan Track coilovers (12k/10k - not exactly ideal for drag racing, but I make 'em work) and as for weight reduction, I just stripped the interior completely (sound deadening, carpet, headliner, and dash still intact). Also, removed the a/c, spare tire, everything in trunk, and took off the exhaust. It could get ALOT lighter...and it will next year. Finally retiring it from daily duty .

For the 3 or 4 of you who keep adding inappropriate tags, be aware that the staff can see who posts them... and we don't really like cleaning up after 13 year olds.
