Well i just got back from the track. I first have to say it was a fun day. We were pretty much there all day at GLD. It was cool because they had the FD Nationals there and got to see some crazy fast hondas and FWD cars go down the track. The temperture was a lot warmer then they said it was going to be. Sun was beating all day but it was still a fun day to go. Now onto the Junk Box.

With it being hot today, the track temperture was a 128 degrees which is pretty hot on that track. There was about a 20-30MPH headwind. I made a total of 4 passes throughout the day. Kristin @ Boostin has the videos which we will get uploaded soon so i can share with everyone.

First pass right off the trailer: 9.15@157. Took it easy first pass off the trailer, kinda short shifted 2nd.

Second pass: 9.14@161.

Third pass: 9.19@161. Out of the groove on this pass, but stayed in it.

Final pass: 9.10@157. Switched lanes, car was all over the place but still managed a decent pass.

Overall it was a consistent and fun day. The car is still have bouncing issues and the car is spinning. The last couple passes there was smoke just pouring for the slicks. The car on most of the passes was all over. I honestly just think it was the track. Im going to maybe get some different rear springs for the car to try something different but maybe it was just the temp and track conditions today. Track conditions change each day along with the temp but it was still fun to get out and launch the car. Thanks to Devin and the Boostin crew for the support and help today. Car is a blast and consistent as hell. Cant wait for us to get back to the track!

Going to go back in a couple weeks to a different track. I know the car will go 8.8s. But at least i got the 8 second pass monkey off my back Cant wait to get back out there soon. Shootout cant come soon enough! Stay tuned everyone!

 

hey joey, it was nice seeing you and the" junk box" . i gotta tell ya that last pass had an 8 written all over it, if not for that mid track skating you were doing (lol), and the constant head winds did'nt help either. that car is one handful, excellent driving as always

 

Hey Mark it was good to see you also! It was a fun day Sunday can't wait till we all go back soon. The car ran solid all day, i just think think the head wind and track wasnt holding up to the Junk box. Car was a lot more all over the place this past weekend then a month ago when i ran 8s. Me and Boostin already put the slip and vidoes in there. However, it still has not been updated and i dont know why RYU hasnt updated it. Hes slacking on that thread lol. But i put it up there right after i went 8s

Best pass of that day 9.10@157. Not to bad for the car being all over the place Sunday, 128 track temps and the 25MPH head wind. Going to make some tweaks to see if we can get the car to stop bouncing. More to come

Here is my 4 passes by myself. The last pass of the day was the best. The car was just have traction and bouncing issues hurting my 60fts. If the car could have hooked up a little better and cut the low 60fts like it has been, it would have been 8.9 all day. It happens thought and the head wind and hot track temps didnt help but i still had a blast and cant wait to get back out there!

 

Oh ok I didnt realize that. Car sounds good. Just need to get that bouncing between shifts under control. Hopefully those new rear springs will help you out.

Thanks man! Yea the bouncing is something were going to take care of right away. GLD is getting worse with there track conditions and Byron last year my car never used to bounce. I am going to go there in a week or two and see what happens! Excited to get back out there again

Might be heading back to the track this weekend to a different local track where last year i went my best ET and MPH. The car always runs better there and isnt all over the place. Hoping to get the car down to the 8.8 number. Ill keep everyone posted on results
