Question Drag Racing - gear ratios??

For all you guys that are running 160+ terminals in 4th gear what setups are you using?

Do you use RS or GSR or custom ratios?

4.11 drive?

What tire sizes do you run on DOT tyres? MH 26.5, 15 inch wheels?

What RPM do you need to run in 4th on the above setups snd what potential terminals would it give you?

Thanks for the help

Evo 8 4th gear + 4.53 (stock) + 26" M/T = 9250-9350 rpm and low 160 mph traps

Evo 8 4th gear + 4.11 + 24.5 M&H = 8900-9000 rpm and 165+mph traps

26" tires grow somewhat the faster they spin, so there is some variable gearing gained there. Normally its 26s, stock gearing with VIII 4th, 9600+ rpm.

The new drag car that we (ETS/ER) are campaigning uses a PPG dogbox which is 1:1 4th gear, 4.30 FD, and 26" tires.

I believe you should be finishing at the very end of 4th if your rev limit is unchanged.
