We are looking forward to this Dave! Were bringing the My Shop Assist Evo along to compete in the Max Effort class as its not a particularly fast drag car but it is famous, placing 3rd in the optima ultimate street car challenge on speed channel in vegas last fall

plus we will get a chance to show a bunch of shops in your neck of the woods the My Shop Assist Software (and how we can greatly reduce the number of phone calls you'll get asking for progress )

Booking rooms tonight, hope they're not all sold out! I'm glad to see the GTR's are officially added to this event - they were spectacular to watch last year!

Now to make a decision on Max Effort or Regular old Autox....

There's only 1 station, in/near Norwalk which is the IGA on milan avenue. I would plan to bring your own however or stop on the way like you mentioned. At the sport compact Shootout, both E85 pumps were broken

I'm willing to bet they'll run out during the weekend for this event.

Better to be safe than sorry. I was close to running out of gas so I went to the IGA and I couldn't get any. Luckily I had a buddy on his way to Norwalk and he was able to stop and get me 10 gallons to race then drive home

They were broken in May and since its the only place to get fuel several people were stuck waiting on ppl to get them fuel from out of town or barrowing from other people.

I think if you mention you are coming for the shootout to most hotels, they will suddenly have rooms available. I tried to book at the motel 6 a few months ago and they said they were all booked. I didnt mention anything about the shootout though. A day later I read where someone got a room there, so I think you have to mention you are coming for the shootout.

I got a room across from Motel 6 at the super 8, I think it is. Hopefully I can barrow my father-in-laws truk and tow my car again this year. I hate racing with an 8 hr drive home to go.

Go figure, AMS finally coming to Ohio, now that there is a GTR class lol. It will be nice to see some of their cars though.

Just got off the phone with some hotels and thought I would post an update for whoever is still looking.

Motel 6 - sold out

Econolodge - a few smoking rooms, otherwise booked

All American Inn and Suites - $340 for 16th and 17th

Super 8 (Milan) $260 for 16th and 17th.

Early bird gets the worm. I'm thinking camping is a pretty good option now = )

Did you tell Motel 6 you were there for the Shootout? If not they will automatically tell you they are all booked.
