EVO's are not 13.5 sec cars.....
I'd say good on you for pulling a time like that, but the STI drivers were way off that day. God knows what those guys have done to their cars as well.
All this hate going back and forth between cars is bad business, good to have friendly comp but never hate. Let the hate go and you will be better for it, even if you receive it from the other side.

Sea level baby
Great times ...
Were you running pump gas (93) ???
I can tell you from personal experience that it is a combination of the cars condition, the driver,
and how much the driver wants to push it.
Here is my story.
I ran my bone stock evo at Etown last year.
On the way down, I topped off at the local citco (big mistake) instead of the Mobil or Sunoco.
The car didn't "feel" right on the drive down, but it must have been my imagination.
So when I ran, I had 1/2 tank of suspect gas, and 50lbs. of audio equipment in the trunk (subs, amps...)
I went 4 passes. I wasn't going to risk my stock clutch (I had to drive back home) so I never launched
hard. Just took off like I normally do from a streetlight.
My 60' times were a consistent 2.40 - that's painfully slow.
And the car just didn't have it's usual strength (probably the gas).
My best run was 15.26 @ 97mph.
Hey, but it was bracket racing. I didn't have to be fast, just consistent. And it was fun.
My dad and I have been busy this winter.
Can't wait to get back this year ...

Ouch, 15.26? I understand you were being easy on it, but that's pretty bad, basically a civic worthy time

I'm still waiting to see the slips for this thread. I leave some room for doubt.
The reason is because I have seen posts on here where guys quoted their times and such.
Let just say they were "generous" with their times. I was there and saw the runs with my own eyes.
They were in some cases 1 sec or more off.
Of course, no slips were posted.
Again, I'm not saying that's the case here, so nobody get mad at me. I've seen evos run in the 12s.
I even saw one run 11.505
But they weren't stock ...
