Your logic is......... Great times though, maybe the fastest i've seen with a stock Evo. Love to see the slip.

Until proven otherwise I smell BS, the originator of this thread does not even know what a trap speed is.

Where are the slips?

You need at least three slips scanned for prove, otherwis this thread is BS.

Before posting the thread scan the slips.

I have to say, it's definatly how good the track is on that day. I have an STi and it was horrible the first time I ran it. I was low 14 all day. The second time I went I was mid 13. I haven't gone since, but am interested in trying again. I think it also depends alot on tire pressure as well as how full your tank is. NIce runs if you did run 12.9 stock!!

yeah, 12.9 on stock evo????
hmmm.
i have a g timer and stage 3 buschur kit. cusco win disc clutch too.
my 60' times are anywhere from 1.77 to 1.82 usually. my fastest 0-60 time has been 4.36, and i just ran a quarter mile last night with gtimer.....13.32.....very disappointed in that run. my 60' time was 1.82, and my trap was 104 something.....i expected mid 12's, maybe 12.7.....im going to check my boost pressure etc, cause that stage 3 kit should be doing a lot more as advertised and for what i paid.
and yes, i know the g timers are accurate.
so, i cant believe a stock evo is gonna run 12.9's

What's the gtimer? Is that the same as a GTech? If so then they do things slightly differently and the results shouldn't be relied upon. For example, they give the trap speed as the actual speed at the end of the run (unless they have changed it since I last tried one) instead of the average of the last 66' of track (knew I'd get that wrong; always do ) so the trap speed will always read higher than on a conventional 1320 strip. However, if the trap is correct then a 104 trap speed is good enough for high 12s with a good 60 and decent driving. The only real true way to get a reliable 1/4 mile time is to hit the track (although I have seen errors in their timing equipment before). Plus, you have to take into account the weather and altitude when talking track times as those differences can equate to over half a second depending on conditions.

Found this in the Engine section posted by ZeroFrost:

"Well i have installed my greddy Type S BOV. And i have to say.... WOW! The thing sounds and performs amazing. Of course i have to tune it a bit more when i get my boost gauge so i can have it hold all 19PSI. But i recommend this product to everyone. I do VTA, and some people have said that when they have VTA thier greddy they get a Check engine light. not me. I believe because when i first installed it, i recirculated it, then went VTA. "

Now, I'll be the first to admit that bovs on stock evos should not make much, if any, additional power. However, don't lie and say you are stock on this forum when you aren't. An aftermarket BOV isn't stock. Did you have anything else on your ride that you forgot to mention?

No other stuff on my EVO, just the BOV. But again a BOV does not add any horsepower or speed, so i figured i didnt need to add that i have a noise maker.
