I can also say that evos are at least a 13.5 second car if you drive it right. I ran a sub 13.5 time stock as well.

Theoretically, that timeslip data is very possible. The car looks really fast in the first 300' due to a very hard launcg, then calms back and lays down somewhat. The traps up top are about on par for a stock Evo in cold weather at sea level. Its not that big of a mystery.

While I agree that the original poster needs to flush his crappy attitude from the first page, I believe his claims.

ZeroFrost. My friend has a stock Evo. He ran consitant 12.4 at English town. I owned a Evo and the best stock run I got out of it was a 14.00. On my STI Ive run a 13.51 Bone stock. They are both great cars.

How many upgrades on your friends "stock" EVO? Half the people I know with full 3" exhaust, boost controler, and an AFC claim to be "stock" because they havn't changed out the pistons yet!

Sorry, but it's all about the driver. your skill means everything especially in evenly matched cars. i'm sure a guy in a plain jane wrx could beat and sti, if the wrx is a veteran and the sti is a t00l

I agree that driver plays a major roll as I turned a 400 crank hp Evo into a 12.9 et at 108. I must be the tool of tools. I still believe that if this happened at E-town more peeps would be chiming in and supporting his claim. Did you forget the 70 mph tailwind or the Dynoflashed Ecu upgrade. If you really can get a 12.9 out of a stock Evo come down to Cali and get my Stage 1+ in the 11s. Or just give me a dragracing lesson. OUT!
