The first thing that runs through my mind is doubt, but who knows could be a freak car from the factory. I bought a 99 trans am brand new and the stupid thing would pull any stock c5 vette I came across, so I know they are out there. Congrats on the run though.

Hey Zero, sorry 'bout the attitude in the earlier post. I would really like to believe that your BOV shows that our stock one does not hold boost and with a good aftermarket one our times can improve by 2 to 3 mph. If that is the case, the woosh you hear won't be a BOV venting to atmosphere, it will be all the Evo owners rushing to buy one. BTW, stock, I ran 13.7/100.5mph.

take into consideration my reation time to the green light, and my 60' time. i believe those have a big role on why i ran 12.99. Again there is no need for me to lie, and i know how to launch my car. Oh and let me mention i burned my clutch that day(stock clutch). The stock BOV leaks boost cause of it cheap design. The greddy type s hold the boost if set properly. I think that was my case here and the fact i had a great start to finish.

Reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/4 mile time/mph (FYI). However, I have no doubt that you/your car ran 12.99. I ran a 13.185 with a 1.74 60ft and my top speed out of 4 runs was 104.56 mph. There have been a couple other members claiming 13.0's at 103-104mph as well. What impresses me is your 1/8 mile speed of 84+ mph (mine was 82.56 mph) which is the highest I've seen for a stock Evo, good job!

Damn, glad to here that the type s helps out in performance wise. hahahah.... TO be honest with you guys, I went for the greddy type s bc I like the sound and the look factors. I wasnt sure that it help out in holding boost better than stock, bc I heard the stock one is just fine. After I installed my bov and removed the inner spring, it works perfect and noticed alil improvement in throttle response in between shift.

I dont doubt that your car made it in the12sec. but all i can say that the driver has something big to do with it . My friend STI will never pass my EVO or even come close until we are 130mph+ . I dont lunch my car hard to, I just feel it and i pass him from a stop about 4 cars difference. more than 4 good drivers drove his car and i managed to outcome all of them
