Since "Street Racing Kill Stories" are not allowed, I thought maybe it would be interesting to find out everyone's best kills on a dragstrip. Beat any Vipers, Corvettes, or uh huh STIs? What time did you run? Please share?

 

3000ways, have beaten all the above + more. The car that has beaten me the most is the dreaded Evo. Since my 1st time at the strip when I almost hit the wall against an Sti have not lost to the above cars. As you know the Viper kill is nothing to brag about as my friend that drives it does so like he is going to the grocery store. I can remember my got killed list as it is smaller and easier to remember. Grand National(missed 2nd to 3rd)Sti(almost hit the wall after rolling over beams and attempting to restage the lights dropped and I punched and went sideways than as I reeled him in I hit the rev limiter when I was at his bumper)SS camaro with 150 shot he ran 11.2 and 10.9 later that night,Smoggs Evo and Allans black Evo, 90ish Stang car bogged at line and I boned shift beat me by a 1/2 car. My times were better on avg but his Stang did 12.5-12.6 at 108mph. That is all I can remember but I do not like war stories as it does not tell the whole story. One time I beat a mid 11 sec Stang with a low 12 sec timeslip but after looking at the slip I could tell his car was faster. Guy f-up his launch and missed a shift and could not reel me in. If we raced again he would of murdered me. Oh yeah one more defeat to the dreaded turboed Honda that ran 11.5 at 127mph on me. Some people asked me what happened to my car on that run like i made a drivers error. No he ran 11.5 at 127mph my car is running great.

 

Yeah I think the first time I ever saw your car (IE Evo) was in carlsbad against a BMW M5, boy did you putting a whooping on that M5 . Then saw you take out that very nice MazdaSpeed Protege with the big front mount intercooler. Sweet!!!

 

What no Audi kill story in there? Just be lucky I had to lift off the throttle at the end of the track, since I was reeling you in and still ran 114 mph off the throttle. That was one hell of a race right from the start. Cant wait to do it again since I now have the new clutch

 

AudiBDG, just be lucky that I am a lard assss and if I was horse Jockey size like you my car would trap 114mph. Hey I pmed you hope you can swing my way so I can see what your baby will do.

ahhhh yes! same thing happened up here... one day this guy came with his turbo'ed civic .. i forget what swap.. but anyways, me and my buddy (in STi) would take him on the launch of course... but he would reel us in and take us... grrrr... but turns out next day his motor was basically melted but also both of us take the local viper here... although its not a newer one... so its not that special i guess (not srt-10 anyways)

Ouch. I just raced a stock STI on my first trip to the drags, I ran 12.7 vs his 13.7.
