I just cant seem to properly launch the Evo. I dont burn the clutch and never smelled a burning smell. When I drop the clutch from 5K, it doesnt move. When I slowly disengage it from 5K, it goes. What is the proper way to launch it? I was used to driving FR and FF in manual. Only drove AWD in automatic. I just cant seem to get it right and don't want to mess my clutch up.
holy crap someone brought this thread back up????? I remember this thread when i was still lurking on this forum....6 years ago
ElDiablo you quoted a person that hasnt even been on the boards since June of last year (just an observation)!
Anyways....2 Step and twin disk FTW!!!!

I have an x aswell, just plain "slipping" does the trick. Also seems to work best at around 5500 rpm. Just like ElDiablo79 metioned...."slowly lift off the clutch until you start to feel it move. Then once it's moving let it go". Hope that helps.
Also would like to mention. I know someone who double clutched it and i think dumped from a really high rev.....and his brand new car is in for service lol
