Parallel Park!
Parallel Park!
PARALLEL STREET PARKING
I havnt been doing that for a LOOOOONG time, and yesterday when i was out buying dinner, i found I cant do it right anymore, it takes more than 2 times for me to park that damn thing!!
I know..i suck...well...
so anyone of you has any tips on how to do that once and right??
especially when u've to park IN BETWEEN two cars and there isnt any parking lines drawn, which means there's only just about enough space left for your car.

i usually get in a spot in one move....i pride my driving on my parallel parking skills =)
here's my tips...i usually use these to fit into spots so small most people are scared to try it.
1. pull up to the spot about a foot away from the car in front of it til you see the back of the car at about the rear of the rear door.
2. back in at full turning angle and back in til it looks like you are going to scrape the bumper on the curb.
3. when the front bumper clears the rear bumper of the front car, reverse in the opposite direction.
you should be very close to the curb and go slow so just in case you to scrape you dont hurt the rims too much. i've pretty much got it down to a science, it just takes practice.

Mann this is too easy. I live in the city so it's a everyday thing. It's an easy 1, 2, 3 step process.
1 = You line up with the vehicle that's going to be in front of you side by side.
2 = Back up diagonally, make sure your straight up and lined.
3 = Position yourself and center your Lancer.
If you mess up then I don't know what to tell you. I guess it's a New Jersey thing.
EDIT: I think when you live in the suburbs, you have the tendency of forgetting your parallel parking moves. I guess you get use to the "as soon as you come home just move in behind that car" kinda thing. Ah the city...

I am also proud fo my parallel parking skills. I once fit my car with 9" in front and back on a hill! (of course, that was with an automatic, I wouldn't even attempt that with a stick). It seems like parking is what I do best
I've parallel parked a manual 3000GT between 2 cars with about 10 inches to spare on the front and back of the bumpers. I was proud of myself when i did it... keep in mind I hardly ever drive Manual cars.
That was @ a dealer during a test drive. The 2 cars I parked between were an Evo 8 and an Eclipse.
