Question what's the max psi on stock evo

i have dynoflashed, how much psi can a stock car w/ dynoflash can get safely? i'm looking to get a boost controller, that's why i want to see what's the max psi i can set for daily drive. any reflash needed AL???? do i need a walbro fuel pump?? do i need a reflash again if that? Stock is running 19 psi, how about after dynoflash?? i don't have a boost gauge yet, i'll get that soon....

You wont need a reflash - 20 - 20.5 psi is a good peak pressure

Al;
With C16 gas, what is the safest boost level you can run with stock turbo?
assume the block is ARP headstudded?

Assuming proper tune - 30 psi is no sweat

even if you didn't have any mods you'll be fine boosting 22 psi if you're on 93 octane or more.

we prefer 21 psi as a max boost peak falling slightly towards the red line

I would qualify that by saying that I would suggest 20.5 - 21 as a max boost on pump gas. Esepcially on the stock exhuast as you start in go higher on boost you begine to build more back pressure which can lead to more knock.

Not all of them can make 30 psi

Some of them can. I suspect that on some of the stock turbos the wastgates are doing a better job of holding shut than on others. They are adjustable. WQe have not yet played with one as a very small percentage of customers run race gas and want crazy high boost levels

With the right tune we have seen many that can hold 30 psi and tapering down to about 25 at red line

Safe yes - ideal no.

Ideally you would want a MBC (Hallman Pro $90) and a Dyno Flash $199 - that would allow you to maximize the gains from the new exhuast
