Sorry to hear that man

Let me know when you get the car back and running and we can go through the diagnosis

is it me or does that dyno shows that once his turbo kicks in at around 3500 rpm, it's running fairely rich all the way to the redline?

Is that for safety when you tune the ecu? Shouldn't the line be bit more into 13's and 14's in a straight line?

I don't know much about tuning but the a/f ratio seem very conservative.

I'd rather have a conservative tune - with rich conditions - than a tune on the edge...

AFR's in the 11 ~ 12 range is much more preferrable IMHO.

It's not all about the numbers. Look at the area under the curve!!!

When you tune on the conservative side, there are occassional cars that may not pick up as much power as we normally would expect.

Often, there MAY be some mechanical issue on the car which is impeeding power. And in some cases there may be car to car variance which needs a more individualized tune.

The soultion is to repair any mechainical issues e.g. boost leaks, spark issues, etc. and / or either custom tune the car or change the base tune to take into account the car to car variance.

My additude on tuning - especially through the mail tuning is that I would rather have a few cars make a bit less whp then they should than have a few cars blowing up because the tune was too agressive.

Sadly, the gentlman who's car is the subject of this thread had his car vandilized and it will be out of comission for some time. When he gets it back and running I will be working with him to find the missing power on his car and discover why it seems a bit flat.

In the meantime the thread trolls can go surf elsehwere
