9 - next up we have to run the main harness wire into the car. The instructions indicate to run the wire across the engine compartment to the passenger side and into the cockpit then back over to the driver side
I prefer to drill a small hole in the fire wall over the gas pedal area and run the wire up over the top of the streering colum and ventilation ducts
In order to do this carefully and methodically - I suggest removing the instrument cluster so you can gain access for careful wiring
Here is the hole through the firewall

Collest thing about this kit - and typical Buschur genious is that when its properly installed you can NOT SEE anything !!!!!!!!
Not so critical on a car like mine - but it may be a nice touch for those who crave a stealth mod!

12 - connect the plastic hose from the alcohol controller to the hose going to your boost gauge like this . Or if you dont have a mechanical boost gauge then route a line into the engine and tap off a manifold boost source.
MAKE SURE you ZIP TIE all connections - the instructions with the kit suggest you use a bad of crazy clue on the connections - NOT a bad idea considering what would happen if the hose pops off

13 - strip and connect the 4 matching wires from the 10 ' harness to the matching wires on the controller
Ground the black wire on the controller to a suitable ground
Plug in the power line and attached mini fuse to the fuse location # 7 - winshield wiper fuse
(the controller is internally fused and the wiper fuse will work normally)

14 - your kit is installed ! Now follow the enclosed materials for the proper testing procedure
ALL units that I sell come with free tuning advice on how to set up the progressive controller. When you order your unit send me a email or PM with your list of mods and I will suplly you with the appropriate settings for the progressive controller for your set up.
The flash for the alcohol kit is available seperately.

Finally - I would like to share this with you guys.
Its been a long time since I installed any new parts in my evo.
I remember when I first got it almost two years ago how much fun I had installing my first Buschur Air filter and HKS boost controller.
Anyway - I did just about everything I could to the evo and about 4 months ago I swore to my wife that I was done modding the evo and from then on it was only routine maintenance and repairs and that I had sunk every concievable dollar that could be spent on an evo and that there was nothing left to do. For a full four months my evo sat undriven although I was doing some motor work and getting it ready for the new racing year I really had no urge to drive it.
After I came back from Buschur Racing and saw how much power this alocohol kit made on the dyno I have not stopped thinking about how to tune MY evo with this kit and hos much power its going to make when I get it on.
Finally its on and tomorrow when its normal hours I will fire up this monster and get ready to unleash this monster on the dyno.
Thank god for David Buschur making up this wonderful kit and giving me something new to try out on my evo and test !!!!!!!!

just put this kit in mine today. i can't believe how nice this kit is. the wiring harness, controller, and pump setup are top notch. the kit comes with everything. and also did they make the control module just for the evo? cause it fits perfect in the coin try. total stealth when you have it closed. anyway the kit was a piece of cake to install. i didn't even use the directions. hardest part was fishing the wiring through the firewall. i opted to go through the pass. side where theres already a hole there. it's just real tight and if you have big hands forget about it. if you look under my hood there is no sign of alky unless you look real hard. you can barely see the spray nozzle. i wrapped my braided line with fuel line. it just blends in with everything.
anyway i haven't had a chance to test it to see if i hooked everything up right (ran out of time) but even if i did i wouldn't be able to test it until al gets here.
many thanks to buschur for having smc design this kit. if it works as good as it looks this kit will be awesome.
thanks al for getting it out so quick. you said i'd get it monday but i got it yesterday.
