You dont need anything otrher than the kit - a retune flash is also helpful though

Anyone have this installed using the stock IC piping? Did you tap the rubber elbow or the aluminum piping?

I had this installed last week on a stock IC pipe into the aluminum piping. I went for dyno tuning this weekend and was not able to tune for the alky kit because under pressure it was leaking at the nozzle. Thank God it was a 50-50 mix or I might have burned down right there on the dyno. I think it would be safest to have a hard IC pipe and then have a bung welded into it so that the braided line could be better seated. Now I'll have to wait until I get the whole thing fixed before I can even look into having it tuned.

I'm pretty disappointed but I realize that it's not a defect in the alky kit. It's just not the best way to tap into the IC piping. Just my .02 cents.

Tony

Why is there a difference tapping the stock piping vs. aftermarket piping? Aren't they both metal/hard?

Yes, they're both hard but now my stock pipe has a hole in it. Also, if I go with an aftermarket pipe, I am reducing some bends, getting rid of the lousy stock hose sections and hopefully be able to get the nozzle closer to the throttle body. With a bung welded in place there will seem to be a less likely chance of something working it's way loose also. At least I'm hoping so. Only time will tell.......

been wondering how it was going to go tapping into an aluminum pipe. I'm thinking I might have to through some jb weld on it as well.

What kind of gains would you expcet on a stage 2 Buschur w/alky? Is running alky the same basically as running race gas (power wise) ?

Buschur tested this very thing on the dyno thread -- alky on Stage 2. I can't remember the result, but I think it was 20-30 hp. Do a search.

Al states that running 100% alcohol is equivilent to running C-116 in the tank.
