al, are you saying that this will work with stock exhuast system, i dont think you can get too much hp if any out the stock exhaust and WI.

or are you saying no mods other than the basic, like, 3" tbe and boost controller.

Why would you run this kit before a tbe?

thats what i am saying i find no reason to run this kit without the basic mods, such as 3" tbe and boost controller. i think anybody with a total stock car is just wasting their money on this kit.

i was just trying to clear up something that was said earlier in this thread, someone asked how would this kit be on a stock car. i think they should do other mods first and then WI.

i dont want al to lose a customer but i think the person that asked would be wasting his money, if this is going to be his first mod.

Question Nozzle ?

Al,

I just installed my kit, and I think I have the latest generation, the one with the guage at the nozzle.

anyways, I installed the nozzle and I tightned it down very tight, the washer on the inside of the IC pipe is compressed a lot. But, the top side were the tee is with the guage and the incoming line, there is no washer. Therefore it is virtually impossible to get a seal on the top side. When I started my car, I put little spit around the tee where it meets the piping, and there is a small pin hole leak. When I test drove it, it seemed to hold boost, which I know is vaccum.

Is it going to be a problem with that slight leak. I haven't ran alcohol yet, because I have to get tuned first, but when alcohol is being sprayed, do you think it will leak out?

thanks,

I'd be interested in seeing closer pictures of how that nozzle mounts. Someone else mentioned an issue with having trouble with the seal and suggested welding in a bung. If that's a better way to go, it'd be worth paying someone 1/2 hour labor to weld up a bung.

Is that the SMC trunk-mount set-up? How did you route the alky line to the engine compartment? Does it run under the body of the car? How big is the tank?

It's the SnowPerforance Stage1 kit ..."Boost cooler" i ran the wires under the car..zip tied them ...good distance from exhaust ...car runs better with the meth on...needs tuning though...just making my fuel mix even richer...here's another pic ..gonna get a 7qt tank soon...that one is too small...
