CEL light ON and problems solved?
One more question Al, I am still having the problem with the rpms not going down after disengaging the clutch at any point over 3000rpm, when it happens the rpms just wont go down for a few seconds(sometimes more than 5 seconds) and its really annoying when you just want shift like a granny, because when you engage the clutch in the next gear the car pushes forward very hard because the rpms are still high. Thats great for the track, but not fun when in traffic.
This is my daily driver and I tought the problem was gone, because I havent had that problem since you flashed my car. But lately I have seen it appear again, and after a few weeks I noticed something. Since my last flashed I always had my CEL light ON, because of that P0300 code, I dont care about the CEL because I know its not real and the car has been running great. Even at the track and with C16 and more boost. But heres what I noticed: A few weeks ago we installed a new wideband and a few other parts and I disconnected the battery for a long time, for some reason the CEL didnt went on for 4 days and I always had the problem with the RPMs, then after 4 days, I was at idle and the CEL went ON. After driving again the problem with the RPMs dissapeared. A few days later, the CEL came OFF again and suddenly the problem was back!
Lately the CEL has been staying ON for over 6-8 hours of driving at a time and suddenly it goes OFF for a few hours. I even know when the CEL light its ON or OFF without looking at it, just feeling the way the car behaves when I lift the gas (because a gauge covers it).
I have found myself lately wishing the damn CEL light stays ON all the time! hehehe, I didnt tought the problem was related with the ECU, but apparently it is. Any idea why this happens? Is there any difference on the way the ECU behaves when the CEL is ON? Got any flash fix for that?

I have heard the 05s have some weird thing where its like a revmatch, Im not sure this is really true, but I can tell you that your not the only one wiht this problem. I noticed after I bought my car and posted about it and some of the local evos posted back telling me it was normal and that its ecu controlled to do that.

Have your CEL code checked it could be a completly different problem. I know of 2 fellow Evo owners who had this problem with the Rpms Holding/fluttering in between shifts with not even touching the gas and it turned out to be a TPS sensor. Good luck

Send me the ecu when you have a chance with your current list of mods - I have a new feature I would like to install onto your file which i think may aide this problem - thanks AL

But one thing, how many EVOs you need for your third tunning trip to PR?
