Generally on pump gas with a base flash we suggest 20.5 psi max

With a custm tune we can ususly press that a bit more

I applaud your recommendation Al. Nice job.

I've been reading more and more posts about spun bearings due to failed rod bolts. Lowering the rev limiter and strongly suggesting improved rod bolts will insure the engine a longer life.

What makes you think its his flash that caused the problem? Do you have any proof?

This just underscores the dangers of a MBC in the hands of a novice. Also, I don't Al should get grief for this, it's been common knowledge on this board for several years that a pump upgrade is a must and is sometimes required for even stock cars. Shiv and Al both had a number of posts on this way back...

i dont see the point in getting head studs and rod bolts for just a mbc...i mean the fuel pump is a must but rod bolts etc...if your not adding any thing more to your car i really dont see the point just making things more expensive.

I just read one guys thread about his car blowing a hole i the block and some people said it was Al's fault. How so? I read in another thread right after he got tuned that he didn't have a Walbro. I don't see a problem here. He chose to run his car without a fule pump on higher boost.

Don't you guys have better things to do besides trying to point fingers at Al for every little problem that someone has? If you have such a problem with Al's attitude, customer service, or tuning then don't bother posting or giving him your money. It's that simple. Some of you just need to grow up.

Please dont waste your time on that troll - he is banned now and he cant respond

Just for reference

Here is the thread were the guy with the blown motor was warned about his lack of fuel pump - before he blew up

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=186588&page=1

I really dont think his slight lean area at red line was any factor in his engine failure which is more likely related to beating on the car when cold or high revs

The main issue is that it seemed that certain folks would not heed my suggestion about the fuel pump - so this is why I am requireing it so I dont have to see this type of situation going forward

WOW, what a thred!! Al has said that if you run a mbc with his flash its a must to have a fp! im thinking its a requirement for the mail flash even with out the mbc!!Now I dont know if My Defi gauge is wrong but it will spike to 23 and if its real cold it will hit 24! cant be off by that much. I have my fp sitting in my garage and will get it on asap!! Ive seen the amazing back fires of the dynoflash and have allways wondered about that?? Although the flash makes excellent power I think it boostes much higher than what is claimed it does!!!

im almost scared to run my car hard anymore on the dynoflash!!

So what if you have a mail in flash that was done without a fuel pump do you need to send it in for a reflash if you go to a walbro??

I am sorry I do not render psychological treatment along with the flash

I will try and offer some emotional support for you anyway

let me get your concern here

Although the flash makes excellent power I think it boostes much higher than what is claimed it does!!!
You have a Hallman MBC - did you ever consider to lower your boost level by turning the knob on the MBC ?

Just FYI - when you have a MBC on the car the flash or ecu NO longer controls the boost - the MBC controls the boost

If you are concerned about the flash then send it in with 450 for shipping & handling and I will flash you back to stock

BTW - the cars shoot flames when you hit the rev limiter (which is optional) you dont have to rev it to the point of the rev limiter all the time

Session ended

What is my rev limit set?- I had a mail-in then custom tune

Can I send the ecu in to get the rev limit lowered?

All rev limits are 7800 untill this week when I am lower to 7700 at my own direction

You can certainly send it in to be lowered if you like

Include $50 for shipping and handling and a list of your mods and details on the date you were custom tuned

Indicate what rev limit you desire

Another option for you would be to shift before you hit the rev limiter which is NOT inteneded for you to drive the car against on a daily basis but rather as a saftey net to cut you off in the event you are inattentive or if your throttle breaks
