the lawyer that i got wanted a rediculous amount of cash upfront inorder for him to take the case. Even tho he was so sure that it was a case id win!! Just for the lawyer fees id could buy a carbon shaft and fix it myself so **** that.

So if anyone has a stock shaft i'll give ya $200 shipped to 88310 ( all i need is the rear leg of the 3 pieces the connects to the rear diff) thanx

Sue them and have them pay the legal fees. In my opinion you are laying down way to easily. Why would you want a car that was obviously tampered with?

I dont think that your rear diff is any good I am sure that is why the guy took the rear driveshaft out before he traded it in. I would be looking for the rest of the driveshaft and a rear diff.

i duno if you tried finding a "contingency" lawyer?? i think thats what theyre called.. but anyways.. they take your case, and dont collect money until YOU win.. if they lose the case.. its free!! duno if that helps?

the diff.. i think the only way to know for sure is to try it and find out!? good luck guy..

no i meant put the necessary parts on and test it out.. obviously if its still 2wd then your diff is busted..... i cant think of 2 things.. either the previous owner fugged it up.. or its fine and he just took his carbon fiber drive shaft with him when he left. or both.. actually that could be 3 things... lol sorry.. not much help i know......

if the diff is broke, you'll know it when you drive the car... do a light launch.. if your spinnin the fronts then its busted.. but if you take off.. you should be good? also if you drive around normal.. the rear diff will make noise.. which means its fugged.. im not sure for certain.. so dont take my word for it.. you might want some other opiniions.. but thats what i would probably do if it were my talon...

on another note.. does anyone know if a 4bolt rear from a DSM will bolt up to an EVO and work properly?

Small Claims Court! I believe you can sue up to $2500 and you have up to a year to file a claim. That's California Small Claims, might want to check New Mexico Small Claim, should have done this after Al discovered your problem.
