Are you positive they "found" the flash, or did they trace you back through one of your posts? I spoke with a Mitsu mechanic (a friend) at some lengh, and was told they could not determine an aftermarket flash, unless they did a line by line comparison of the ecu code (which wouldn't happen unless of an extreme circumstance).

This makes me very curious, and a little suspicious. Makes me think about the old cop trick.. Cops - "look, we have you prints at the crime." Perp - "You do! man, I'm busted!" Cops - "thanks, thats all we needed."

As for the clutch, it can have a lot to do with the "impression" of having less power. A bad clutch feals exactly like losing power.

no really, from all of the posts on here recently about Al, he is getting very very bad reviews. CUSTOMER SERVICE (not about this thread), plays a big role in how long his products will last. Im not downing Al, or his tuning ability because I have never been flashed, but I just think im playing it wise and spending money on a UTEC, XEDE, or maybe even an AEM instead of dishing out $$ after $$ on a product that has to be "reflashed" each time I add a new part. At the end of it all, as much money as you guys are spending, you could be using what he is really using. An AEM or standalone/piggyback. The only reason I would get a reflash if because of stock ECU limitations, not for power.

Hmm, this is not good news.

Yeah really? Sounds like the flash isn't his only problem then? Also with that list of mods in your sig did you really expect them to warrenty the car?

Only one post on this thread from the guy that actually has the problem.. and almost 2 pages of speculation already!

WOW!! If you can find me an AEM for $475 I'm all in!! Otherwise your arguement is pretty lame. Yes, it needs to be reflashed for future mods, but the reflashes are free. But I'm sure you knew that; you just wanted to put more fuel on the fire.

Are you saying the P2 and XFlash are waste too? You're in the same boat with them. Except they cost way more and don't give you free reflashes for future mods; or a money back garuntee if you're not satisfied.

I dont know, im just saying that reflashes for power are a waste all together when you really think about it. Now the basic 100 $ flashes that raise boost and rev or whatever, might be a good idea if sticking with the stock ecu. Yeah i mean, hell I have no idea what I am talking about *rolls eyes* Also, for 475$ thats almost half the price of a better alternative. Like I said im not downing anything here. I had actually been thinking about a reflash from DynoFlash from a while, but after all of the posts. I think ill just save my cash.

These matters should be handled in private... IMHO.

Don't get me wrong, this is a public forum, but I believe there is still a right and a wrong way to do things. I am not even saying you don't have a legitimate gripe, but you should have just called AL yourself! Too many people use e-mail because it's less confrontational. If you were going to tell the guy his product was inferior you could have at least stepped up and called him first, or PM'D... Maybe you already did, but it doesn't sound like it.
i DONT agree AT ALL. I think many of you have forgotten the purpose of this forum. This forum was made for evo owners to HELP other evo owners. If someone like Al says his product is not detectable and will not void the warrenty. Then someone gets their warranty voided because of that products detection, then the FORUM needs to know about it. Not keep it a secret between dynotrash and the poor bastard who gave him his money. Dynotrash is horrible and the evo owners on the forum need to know about it.

Likewise, without proof of said occurance, we are just taking one persons word for what happened.

I see XRS is flinging to poop on this thread as well. Why don't you guys contact the vendor to resolve your problems?

I understand that things can happen and people will become upset.. but take a logical path to fix the problem! If you are still unhappy file a complaint with the BBB or go to court.

Posting on a forum is going to do squat to fixing the car... and name calling does nothing but make other lose respect for you.

I think I would rather hear of peoples bad experiences and the good ones as well. If all the good people, and all the bad people kept to themselves, how would we know what works and what dont?

Not saying your tune was bad, it was good on day 1, but now on a steady way down to no power. Please respond so we can handle this matter or leave me a PM here. Thanks

Give me a call - I am very curious to hear about what the dealer was doing and all the details.

The best of our information to date is that the reflash is totally undetectable by a dealer. We originally checked with several techs when we started this and had a resonable level of assurance that the reflash was not deterctable with tools. Of course if they have developed some new capability this is a note worthy development

In the meantime - we still offer a free flash back to stock at any time - no questions asked

As for your car getting slower day by day this something we should discuss and may be related to other mechanical issues unrelated to the reflash
