Converison. Injector for my setup?

Hey guys I am in the process of starting a total rebuild on the evo. Anyway it looks like the gist of the build will be the following....

BR 2.3
BR STG III Head
ETS T4 35R S cover
BR Cams
AEM EMS
PLus bolt ons of course.

Anyway I was wondering what size Injector I would need for this setup to run E-85. Also will the one Walboro pump handle the load.

Thanks

Seth

NO one walbro will not handle it. Maybe for lower boost levels, yes. But an additional fuel pump run in parallel will be needed.
-1600 cc injectors

Jesus 1600cc.....so like 2 gallons a mile then? LOL

I appreciate it though.

Would an Aeromotive pump be overkill vs dual Walboros?

I thought about using the aeromotive pump instead of duals.. Dont know of anyone using it at the moment.

E85 will result in about 30% lower mileage, but if you have a light touch, it can get reasonable mileage even with the largest of injectors.

I have been considering raising the compression of my engine when its time to convert for good, as higher compression results in more power, but also getting better fuel efficiency will net better gas mileage too. Something you can get away with when running e85.

What compression were you considering? I am no engine guru, but from my understand higher compression usually means lower boost possibilities. I am trying to get my ducks in a row because I am buying everything after the 1st of the year.

Thanks

I would look at some of the info posted about e85 on the net. Generally raising compression always meant lowering boost, but for me, I personally think the gains in low end might outweigh compromises in max boost. Its really all about tuning. But I have been doing some research on options to improve low/midrange torque and improving spool with the GT35r I'm running, so things I was looking at besides running E85 were increased displacement, higher compression, several cam designs, etc..

I wish I had specifics I could give you about exactly what to do, but until I have E85 available to me all of the time, I can only make a few educated guesses that I will test when I have it available.

Jack, that is what you should really concider. We have run10.1:1 compression for E85.
Without going into too much, fuel efficiency is good and power is amazing.

So possibly have BR build my SB with 10.0:1 compression for E85. I really appreciate the help guys. Please continue to forward any information on builds you might have.

DTM/ Malibu Jack any advice on the cam profiles that you have been looking at for your motors? I hate to ask to steal your knowledge, but this is a one time deal for me. Not everyday a lowly SF Army guys gets a 40K bonus to throw at the car....

Thanks

It will depend on what you are looking to do with the car. What are your plans?
