Question Which injector size should I use 1000, 1150, or 1250?

I currently have pretty basic mods:

-bursher turbo back exhaust
-ams intercooler
-hks hardpipe kit
-hks bov
-manuel boost controller
-bursher intake
-and a Cobb map off of the accessport

If I am looking to convert to e85 which injector size should I use between 1000 and 1250? I have heard that if im not going to be pushing over 450 whp I should stick with something like 1000's for efficiency-

I would really like to get to about 400 whp but not much more, I really want to keep alot of the power down low instead of loseing it for huge power up top. I would much rather run strong low to top, and have better street maners like ive read about the kelfords-

I will also be doing these mods after I switch to e85-

-fp Red turbo
-kelford 272 cams
and one day exhaust/intake manifolds with external waistgate

Which size would be best for e85 with and without the fpRed turbo, and kelford cam mods?

(I decided to go with the fpRed turbo, and kelford 272 cams due to the great posts I've read on how the fpRed doesn't lose much on the spool speed, and the kelfords don't lose hardly anything down low and have amazing gains mid/top range which is exactly what i'm looking for)

Please let me know what you all think, I really appreciate it!

If you have any type of tuning, any of those will be good for you

1000's are fine for the stock turbo, anything bigger will require larger injectors. Plan ahead.

It depend on where your goal is at. If your goal is around 400 to 450, 1250 will be plenty but if your goal is higher than 450, I think you'll need a double pumper and higher injector than 1250cc.

Wise words, unless you just absolutely know you will never build your car for a big turbo, go with the bluemax 1650s or even the 2150s if you can swing the $830 price tag.

Thanks for your thoughts, I know that I'm gonna get a fpred/black turbo or something similar, and the Kelford 272 cams- As of now i'm leaning toward the 1250 fic blue max unless someone can give me a good spil on why i should do something else.

SO KEEP THE THOUGHTS, AND YOUR OWN EXPIRENCE COMING> I REALLY APPRECIATE THE COMMENTS!

Go for 1200, just in case you decide to upgrade the turbo at some point down the road. The drive ability is just fine and they can be tuned easily.

my specs are:

2.3 stroker
Cosworth M2 cams
Precision 1000cc
Perrin fuel rail
Largest Perrin intercooler
3" exhaust
Injen intake
FpRed 80mm ported
FullRace street manifold
65mm throttle body

at 1.6 bar the load is abou 65-68% at 1.8 bar about 70-72%

i think 1000 cc is more than enough

You are only running 23 psi of boost though. For instance, if he decided to go with race gas, or E-85 he could easily turn the boost up into the 30s and then it would require a lot of fuel.

Why not go more than less? With the tuning capabilities of today, larger injectors have no issues on the stock ECU, so why skimp out and have to buy another set down the road? Just get a set that is larger than you need now, so you have some headroom to upgrade other things down the road.

Just my thoughts. I had to swap out a set of 800s I think for my 1200s once I upgraded to E-85. My IDC is only in the 70s though, plenty for my motor build coming up...

Yeah I am going to tune for e85 first, like within the next two weeks that's why I'm getting the injectors- And then I will be doing the kelfords and the fpturbo with in the next 6months!

Thanks everyone I am going to go with the fic Bluemax 1250's I think!
