She told me the name of the tests over the phone, but she might as well have been speaking another language lol. I remember one was a vapor pressure test and the other was a specific gravity test. I think there where 2 more that I have completely blanked on. TBH though even if i knew what kind of data the tests gave, my complete lack of chemistry knowledge prevents me from even knowing what kind of information could be directly or indirectly inferred by that data. So i figure ill just post the results for others to comb over and hopefully blackstone gives some insight too.

I've heard quite a few "gunk" cases in California. I wonder if our oxygenated gasoline has an effect.

That could be right depending on the CFM or your turbo, though you should be making about 500whp, or more, at that point.

Sounds like you have everything set up pretty well. I run 80% IDC, but lots and lots and lots of people run 90-95% and haven't had any problems.

The injectors can only do so much. Once you get to the IDC you are comfortable with, you're done. You will need a larger injector if you want more fuel.

I have some FIC 1450s for sale, though . I have the paperwork from RC after having them cleaned and tested. I've probably put less than 500 miles on them since. Let me know.

How much are you boosting? And what mods do you have?

Been using it for 10 years now in CA on all my cars and have yet to see any of that.

We've had a hand full of local cars. One poor guy had TWO of his built engines go *poof*. His car spent more time at FFTEC than in his garage LOL. We laugh now...

I'm def not the "It's not happening to me so it doesn't happen" type of person so I know people are having issues. My question is I wonder what I'm doing differently?

I've never used any injectors other than ID in my 4B11 powered cars. I've never used any injectors other than RC in my 4G63's. I've never used fuel pumps other than Walbro.

My cars usually sit for week(s) between driving as well.

Oh, I gotcha. I wasn't taking your comment that way, sorry if my reply came off a certain way . Yeah, it's crazy! I've only used FICs. I've let my car sit for up to 6mos with e-85 in it, with the only damage being corrosion on the the metal parts of the my fuel hangar assly. The gunk thing seems to be super random which makes me even more nervous to the point I run pump gas in between each tank of 85, if it's been in there for any decent amount of time.
This is all with a functioning EGR, etc.
Sounds like we mostly know what causes it.. but predicting if that cause is something for us to worry about, at our individual pumps, is kinda sketchy. I don't even make much more power on it (I only use it at the track because it burns cooler) so I'm not even sure if it's worth it, for me.
