Flexfuel sensor install / return line modification for 7/8/9 above intake manifold

Thinking of installing my flexfuel sensor in/on the stock return line coming out of the regulator.

This would require either fabricating another "hard" return line with clips that mate to my sensor or brazing the correct mating pieces into the OEM hard line.

Because this sensor is not exactly small I would build a bracket that it can mount to, and mount one end to the 2 bolts that hold the throttle cable bracket to the intake manifold.

Anyone try anything like this or have any suggestions/opinions/ect.

Anything constructive is welcome.

The flex sensor is equipped with tubing that accepts standard push lock EFI connectors. I recommend you bolt it to the firewall using the stud just above the heater feed and return hoses.

See here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/at...position-2.jpg

Use fuel hose and some barbed EFI connectors to plumb it into the return hose. This will be easier than trying to braze it into the return line above the intake manifold, which is actually cadmium plated steel tube.

I suppose I could do it that way, but "easier" isn't always the best solution.

If I went with my original idea I'd probably have a line made so I can replace the factory line instead of brazing it in. I have to think about this more.

firewall is going to be a cooler location than above the intake manifold. i plumbed mine without efi connectors by using larger size hose in combination with reducing barb unions to connect to the factory diameter hose.
