For that level, I would recommend one of the new HP E85 Walbro 450's. Safe up to 700 WHP. A 255 will do it but the 450 will give you room to grow.

True. I guess I forgot the original question was about up to 500 whp. When I needed to upgrade my 255 I went double pumper just to know I have enough for future modifications. If I knew I would never push my setup much further I guess it would be overkill.
I could see that. My 255 didn't fade bad until around 450 whp and 600 whp is only a little over 30% over that. Walbro 450 about technically flow around 30% more than than the 255 also.

The new E85 Walbro 450, wired with an STM Fuel pump rewire kit should make 700WHP.
Walbro claims its safe up to 800HP on E85. We have not tested one that high to confirm.
Here are some stats on the new 450
Walbro 450 LPH High Pressure Fuel Pump (E85).
- Universal In-tank Fuel Pump
Fuel: FLEX (E85 Safe)
Horsepower: 750HP+
Flow Rate: 450LPH
Part Number: F90000267
- Outperforms all current market in-tank fuel pumps
- Designed for engines with more than 750 HP
- Award-winning OE technology
- High-pressure, high-flow performance OEM technology designed and developed for E85
Dual channel turbine design for maximum efficiency under high pressure and high temperature applications Made in USA by TI Automotive (parent company of Walbro.)
All pumping components have been validated to OEM specifications for approved use in E85/flex fuel applications.
The F90000267 requires modifications to system wiring, fuel lines and the fuel module, and should be professionally installed.
The innovative design of the DCSS 39/50 features a single impeller with two parallel rows of turbine blades. Designed for high performance engines exceeding 500hp and safe for E85 or Gasoline applications.
The blades feed two high-pressure pumping channels, as opposed to a conventional single-stage pump that uses an impeller with a single row of blades at its outer edge. This innovative design results in improved hot fuel flow, as well as minimal noise and current use, resulting in efficiency that's 20% higher than conventional pumps.
SPECIFICATIONS:
465 lph @ 40 psi and 13.5V (14.1 amps) in gasoline
Outlet diameter: 10mm (3/8")
Diameter (upper body) 39mm
Diameter (lower body) 50mm
