320 LPH and stock fuel system (hangar)

Bought a 450 pump a long time ago, in anticipation of going E85 for road course use.
Decided I did not want to hack things up and concerned about too high a pressure.

Does a 320 pump (like DW300c) in the stock hangar need the siphon tube drilled and/or would
it require an adjustable FPR?

I am looking for 430, maybe 450 HP and everything I read, 255 is about at it's limit on E-85 there.

I don't know about the 320, but the 255 is solid. I ran mine with the relief valve pushed in and made somewhere in the 450 range on E85 with my stock block FP Green setup. No drilling, no AFPR.
That would be my personal pick given what you are looking for.

Thanks. I have a 255 in there now, but gas (treated, but still) sat in the tank for many years.
So I figure along with a new stock hangar/larger injectors, would do a new pump either way.

Was a bit concerned, as I didn't know if the 255 would be marginal for road course use, vs
street or 1/4 mile blasts @ around that power level.

Gotcha. For the hanger, you might be best off just cleaning it, stock parts are getting tough to find. I would probably just go with another 255 and punch the relief valve. Mine held up for 5+ years at that power level will loads of street pulls and some 1/4 mile runs.
In fact, it was still fine when I pulled it to go double pumper so I have it as a backup in my garage lol.

For injectors, I moved from some FIC1100s to the ID1700x and really like the x series stuff if you are still up in the air on that.

255 would be marginal for 450 especially on E85. My car ran one for a while make 400 on E85 but it was definitely towards the upper limit. I ended up dropping in an AEM 340 pump and it's given me no issues. Just be sure to get the green version, it has a ceramic impeller for E85.

Good to know!
Yea, when I was leaning on the green setup with the 255, my tuner told me that it was completely tapped out on pump. I went double pumper now but it worked well for the 4ish years I ran that setup.

I tried the AEM pump. This one.
Amazon Amazon

But it was too long. Seemed like it was going to hit bottom of tank in stock hangar (with stock sock).
Ended up with DW300c (which is supposed to be 340 LPH), which is actually too short, but fits OK with rubber thick lower gasket that comes with AEM.

Just noticed that is a different AEM than I tried. The AEM I did get is longer than AEM shows on their web site and longer than the 255 walbro.
That 50-1220 is shown as .4 inches shorter than the 255. Assume it will have same issue as DW300c. Going to order one anyway, see
how it fits.

Thanks for replies.

Yea you'll want the 50-1220 that I linked. It hasn't given me any issues.
