No. Any counting would have to be implemented by the software. I have yet to flash an ECU "too many" times to the point where it will not reprogram. I don't see the flash longevity as a major problem for most people.

Also, once the new definitions are available, there will be a metatable for the Immobilizer code, save that, write it down, keep it somewhere.. If you are playing with other peoples maps and write something to your car, you won't be able to start it without putting the right immobilizer code back in..
you should probably include this in the first post...if in fact it is necessary. (haven't hooked up to my car yet..)

I think its a digital representation of the vehicle speed, aka a VSS tick counter.. Haven't tried it yet..

When loading a new ROM, do you need to maintain the imobilizer code? I have an EVO with the p0300 fix and I want to load a '03 EVO ROM that has not had the fix.

I can download the ROM from my ECU, and the only field I can read is the imobilizer code. The ROM I recieved has a different imobilizer code. I am guessing that I need to keep them the same and copy the value retrieved from the version I downloaded from my ECU. Right?

[edit]
Nevemind... you do need to change the imobilizer.

correct you must copy down the immbolizer code from your ecu and paste it into your new rom file.

be sure to keep a copy of your old rom.

this tutorial was just meant to familiarize people with the program, and is missing the process used to actually start swaping files and such, which I really just learned on the fly hence why its missing because at that point I didnt try it yet.

You have to have "Advanced" selected under Options to see everything.

Would you please explain what On and Off means in the table?
