It alters both indirectly.. Its used to adjust for air density variances with temp, the higher the temp, the less dense the air is.. The setting allows you to set how much of a difference the maps compensate for temp changes.

The load% value axis in the software itself is an arbitrary value assigned, it roughly is the air pressure in bar (100% would be 1 bar) however its based on a calculated value, one of them **IS** temp compensation..

When the car is idling, you can see in the OBD-II live data that there is a calculated load and a g/S value, both of those values are based on the Volumetric efficiency of the motor, air density (Temp, Pressure), Boost level, Engine displacement, etc.. all affect volumetric efficiency and therefore the calculated load, eventually we will have parameters that let us alter the different data tables that set these values ( VE table, Closed Loop AFR Target, etc)

For the most part, you shouldn't have to alter those settings unless you live in a very very hot climate, or cold climate, where these changes could help drivability.

Sorry about my long winded explanation and rambling, I haven't re-read what I wrote yet so if I had a brain fart, just PM me and I'll fix it.

You'd need a logger at this point. From what's been posted they will be incorporating a logging program at some point into EcuFlash.

Any good quality OBD-II cable and logger can do it.. However if you wait it out, the logging and everything else you want should be able to be done with this cable.. Not only that, but this one should be able to log data even faster once they get the protocol figured out!

I can't wait for the logging software that can be used with this cable. Is there any ETA on this?

Jack, I am assuming that the dealer should be able to re-flash the ECU back to stock. At least this was the case with the WRX.

It just sounded like there was something new with your program. I have the pocket logger that shows load.

Its probably the case, Its also possible that the ability to read the ECUTek rom was intentionally left out (though I doubt that) Its possible that it just fails because of a checksum difference.

If its possible to read the rom, and then overwrite it, I could back up my friends rom in his car, set him up with a track tune, and he can put his old rom back on when he's done.

As far as the load portion is it safe to say that each 20% interval is equivelant to about 2.8psi, the reason I say this is because there are eight 20% intervals after 100% which is 0 psi. And if 260 is 23 psi the you divide 23psi by 8(20% load points) which comes out to somewhere about 2.8 psi.
