not sure if they can be rescaled. that would be nice if they can
going through the program, you can add columns and rows. however, when u do add stuff, it screws up the entire chart numbers, since it tries to interpulate.

ohh, i forgot to ask. when editing map definition, should you change the row/column numbers in the ROM# or the evo7base?

Anyone found the open loop RPM setting in the IX ECUs?

Whilst we have the open loop throttle and load curves, there is apparently another one which over-rides it - below this RPM it is closed loop anyway.

I'm having lift off detonation - sometimes audible in cabin - worst at 3500 RPM if I run 22 PSI. On full load running through this zone it is OK, but if I lift before about 4500 RPM I get knock.

If it is a stock ecu, it may be boost or fuel cut, has the ecu ever been flashed?

Its likely that decel Injector cut value that people are looking for.. 22psi is alot higher than stock so it probably cuts fuel when he lifts off immediately, resulting in a knock....

It depends on the definition, if you change the scaling, then you can do it in the Base, if you change an address value, either for an axis reference or the data location, you should do it in your rom's definition.. The reason is, every major rom revision shifts the data slightly, so what is appropriate for one, may not work for all..

I get the same reading with the ECU+ logging.

I also get the same lift off det on my Ecutek mapped ECU.

If it was overboost fuel cut I think it would go after >1sec over the limit? Yet I can merrily drive through these gears without detonation or fuel cut.

The over-run ign timing is about 40 degrees in this area which might not help. I will go out with my OBD-II logger and see where the open loop transition is...

It runs open loop as low as 1500 RPM, so this is not the problem. Hopefully a change to fuel and timing will sort it as soon as I can remap this ECU.

That and the evo 9 ecu seems to hold boost for short time after letting off the gas. It seems to keep pulling for a second after a hard pull.

Lean spool RPM at 3500 seems to make it leaner during spool I gather, and it is common to drop this setting to 2500 RPM. I had read this was related to anti-lag, but it seems apparently not.

It doesnt have the Air injection components for a lean spool feature, but the timing and fuel maps for it do exist, nobody really has figured it out or documented it yet.. And unfortunately, its possible only the 03/04 ecu's have the settings.
