some IX info to digest

here is some info that pretains to the uk IX that I beleive should apply to the usdm also. should be handy when tuning the IX, particularly the map sensor being used to calculate fuel requirments under boost.
EDIT: the us cars do not have a manifold temp sensor in the intake, that port is not machined out and there is no sensor there. I will research this some more if it take buying the shop manuals.... I should do that anyways so I will order them tomorow

I located the map sensor on my car but was unable to locate the the temp sensor, they may have combined the 2 or use a calculated figure based on other sensors. I will pull my sensor and see if it looks like a multifuntion sensor

well pI looked at it and it only has 3 wires indicating it is only a map sensor. I am going to buy the factory manuals and figure out exactly how the us model works, my best educated guess at this time is that it uses a caculated temp from the input of the maf temp sensor. but this is a only speculation at this time

The temp sensor is in the MAF, its that little blue 'nub' if you look inside the MAF's throat..

I posted a wiring diagram at some point in one of my Blowthrough Maf threads that showed all of the sensor wire color and connections from the MAF.. It should be the same for the 9..

The sensor reports its output directly to the ECU as Intake Air Temp, enrichment is done by the ECU and not the MAF..
