Exclamation Flash back to stock....

Im done with the eflash and i would like to flash my car back to stock and i am going a different route.

I bought the car with a mail in flash and then i had al send me the cable and a new flash...Well lets just get to the point. I was unable to save the stock settings for my 04' VIII and i would like to flash it back to stock for the time being.

I have tried to email & PM Al about this but i havent heard back from him. Its not like im asking for my $175 back... all i want is a stock reflash.

If someone will be kind and help me out please email me at: Extremeimports@sbcglobal.net

If nobody will give one up and i have to pay for it i will.

Thanks.

I think the ECUFlash came with a stock flash. There're also flash for different model year on its site too if I recall correctly. Check them out. www.openecu.org.

Hi

If you post your ECU rom number and your ECU case serial number you will have a better chance of tracking down a stock flash that matches your car. Can you elaborate, as to why you couldn't save your stock flash? Just remembered, can you see your imobilizer code in the custom tune? You will need this to mod any other ECU image to match yours.

I have already done this. I got rid of my p0300 patched ROM and replaced it with MalibuJack's stock '03 ROM.

all you need to do is find the ROM for your EVO, retrieve your imobilzer code and upload the new ROM.

It's all pretty easy, but you will want to have the car tuned afterward to tweek the ROM you uploaded to your EVO.

In a few days I'm going to start collecting STOCK rom's for all the different ECU's and put them online for people.. I realize that this is a resource that everyone needs, plus I'm doing it so I can experiment with Rom compatibility with different ECU's..

FWIW, The only thing you have to match on your 03/04 ECU is the CPU type, since that is the only thing that can cause problems with different roms. (There were 3 variants of the MCU for the 02/03/04 ECU's and might have been used interchangably, their all based on a SH2 processor with Floating Point math coprocessor) There was very little else unique about the MCU and the ECU for 03/04 The 05 ECU is slightly different because the input and output for the Intercooler sprayer is no longer used, but I haven't isolated what value that actually has yet (that is, if the input/output was redeployed for something else) which is why I want to experiement with them

Its in your current rom.. Download it off your ECU and look for the Immobilizer code, write that code down and re-enter it when you get a stock rom to upload to it.

Careful with that as that data is almost certinaly copyright mitsubishi. I don't really see how that is different the posting an aftermarket rom image.

That being said. I have an stock '04 from a 4/04 build date if anybody needs it.

I believe i found it. Could it possibly be B389?

And i opened a new rom and tried to change it but it wouldnt let me.
I pressed the + key and it opened a box to change it but it would not change.

oh yeah, its a glitch, you have to convert the number to decimal to enter it... the glitch will be fixed in the next s/w release according to Colby...

Now that we are on the subject of rom switches. I have been able to get a 2005 ROM to work on a 2003 ECU
