I was wondering if we could start a new topic just listing all the injectors with their perspective scaling and latency's?

It would be great if you could fill in the wiki:

To the experts here; do my scale value and latencies above look alright?

My injector is 780 but I can't get any good LTFT trim using most of the values posted here. I followed MalibuJack and l2r99gst posts and able to finally get it dial in with -3 and -2 for the Low and Mid LTFTs and it has been like that for the last few days driving.

Some of the other settings even made my car throw idle too lean p0171 or my fuel trim was too far of range (+12, -15..). Is my scale value is too low for the 780? Thanks.

The link to it just reverts back here. And this place is filled with lots of clutter and since the illustrious evom search engine sucks its impossible to find them without searching through hundreds of posts.

No, tephra was suggesting that if you have injector latencies to share (or are going through the trouble of tracking them down anyway), perhaps it would be worthwhile to create a page on the wiki, and get the ball rolling with a central location for this kind of information.

^^ what he said.

Also, if you are having trouble like the rest of us (we are all in this failboat together) you can use google like
Code:
[search terms] site:evolutionm.net
Otherwise we just wind up with thousands of posts like the first one quoted here, which do nothing but aid all of us in going bat **** crazy trying to find actual information.

I have the Low Trim showing -1.2 but the mid is showing -12.6. My STFT are right within +/- 5%. These are my current scaling and latencies.

860

4.6875 3.312
7.03125 1.680
9.375 1.344
11.7188 1.152
14.0625 0.840
16.4062 0.360
18.6768 0.240

860 scaling is what everyone seems to be using for the FIC 1000's. Any ideas on what to adjust to get the mid back in line??
Thanks again

Thanks. I guess I will give 886 a try. Should I leave the latencies the same for now and just log with the larger scaling?

Keep the latencies and try something more like 968 (860 * 1.126) for scaling (seems high though, not sure something else or latencies aren't off).

My method is to get correct latencies, then use scaling to get the mid in check. Lastly rescale the MAF to get Idle in check.

OK I am in need of help DESPERATELY!!!! I struggled with the FIC 1000's so I figured I would switch out injectors just to see if I could rule them out. I now have FIC 1050's and am still having tons of issues. I make changes, and the numbers I get from LTFT make no sense. For instance, I was at 1008 scaling and set latencies, Low came in at around -7 and Mid was -12. I figured....well lets up the scaling. I up the scaling to 1044. Then i get Low of -8 and Mid of -11.3. I am completely lost. I know based on them both being negative, I should be upping the scaling even more but with the numbers i keep seeing with the changes, I am not even sure anymore. I have been battling this for about a week and am very frustrated at this time. Someone please help!!! These are my current settings that gave me the low of -8 and mid of -11.3.

Scaling 1044

4.6875 4.512
7.03125 3.408
9.375 1.896
11.7188 1.248
14.0625 0.984

Just by looking at the trend for injectors...

1044 is too high for 1050's ... id start with a mid 900 probably maybe even lower. Then also drop your first 3 voltages. Should be a good starting point.

See I thought that if they are both showing negative trims, it means it has to drop fuel by that percentage. The way you counteract that is by raising the scaling. If i drop the scaling down in the 900's it should be dumping much more gas and want to pull even more out. Isnt this correct? Or do I have this all wrong?

You are correct. I'd try raising the scaling to the next value (or maybe even the one after that). FIC injectors are always very conservatively rated, so don't be afraid to use a big value with FICs. My 1050s scale at 1008 on gasoline. I know other people who have used 1044 for FIC 1050s. My guess is that if you raise the scaling one or two more notches, both trims will be very close to zero.

What voltage does the car run at?
