Question problem

for some reason every time I try to read/write roms all it says is

"this vehicle interface does not support needed features."
"unable to connect to vehicle interface"

It no longer gives me the little pop up that says to plug it in, turn ignition on, quickly hit ok. It just immediatley pops those messages up in the task info area.

I've reset the car and computer a few times. I've checked to see that COM1 was selected. (was using COM1 before)

just reload the program?

edit: reloaded the program... nothin'.

Make sure you plug the flash cable into your computer before starting EcuFlash. It looks for the cable when the program starts and if it's not there it will not work, even if you plug it in later.

In addition to making sure the cable is plugged in before starting the software, go under options and configure the port for the Openport 1.3 cable, not Com1..

right, I'll try that. It's always worked before, perhaps I just always luckily did things in the right order. Thanks guys. Gotta say it again: "I love EvoM"
