timing first? or AFR's? pointers for Alky?

What's the recommended way of going about this? Try to get the AFR's to your desired AFR and then tune the timing or do the timing first then do the fuel?

Any pointers in tuning for alky injection? Kept hitting fuel cut til I rescaled the map and upped the boost limit. Boost spikes to 29psi then tapers to 25psi.

What kind of map are you starting with?

You'll want to get AFR's where you want them BEFORE start tuning.

Tuning for alky really isn't as hard as you would think.. just get your alky setup before starting on anything (where it starts.. where it goes full blast etc..)

My alky kicks in pretty low (around 9-11psi) and is MAX around 20-22psi) (I'm hitting 26psi peak) It's not too different from tuning with race fuel (at least with my setup).

Edit: I'm running 50/50 alky/water. 29psi seems a little high to me -- or are you using 100% alky?

I'm running a (fairly conservative) tuned map (other than the rescaling I haven't changed it yet).

Alky is setup as I want it already. I've programmed the contoller to start 25% output at 11psi - 100%@25psi. running un-mixed denatured alcohol. MBC is cranked all the way down, it actually just spikes that high by itself. I'm actually logging my boost pressure from the alky controller so 29psi is fairly accurate.

AFR's reading from the tailpipe (haven't had time yet to pull my test pipe and weld in an O2 bung) are showing safe AFR's ranging from 9-11. I'm sure the readings will show much lower once I get the sensor into the test pipe.

so I guess I'll start with the AFR's then, gotta get that test pipe out and get it on the welding bench.

Thanks much!
