Yeah good pics. I have mine tied in a location so that it ends up next to the OBD II and flashing ports so all the cables go one direction

I was wondering, has anyone reinforced this cable by anyway? I have the 2 wires soldered to the d-sub connector and heat shrinked, but was wondering if there was any type of cover that could strengthen all of the wires and d-sub connector more?

Thanks.

I bought a serial cable from a computer store and tore it apart. Use a screwdriver to pop the old connector out, and dremel the inside of the plug to fit your connector in (or re-use the one in the cable). Dremeling the inside will also allow you to yank the cable out of the plug. I put the plug back in the cable along with some hot glue to hold it all in place. Works like a champ for me.

or instead of ripping apart a serial cable, you can just buy a D-Sub connector and connector hood from radio shack.

Wink

As far as making this cable work under Vista.... Yes, it does work. Copy the installation files from the little CD that comes with the Dynex cable onto ur desktop. Right click the setup file and run it in Windows XP compatibility mode as an administrator. Reboot and plug in he cable. DO NOT plug in the cable prior to installing the drivers Mine's working like a charm
