New to the Evoscan software. Was wondering if someone could tell me how to get the profile charts under the power and torque setting tab. I can view my logs but nothing under the power and torque tab. If i load a sample log that came wit the software those charts populate showing HP and torque. The charts are labeled run 1 run2 and so on. As always any help is appreciated.

Hi,
The log needs to include full throttle run and logging of at least rpm and throttle position.
If you post the log here, it is possible to look at it to see if contains enough information to calculate power and torq.

You can also try to use VirtualDyno available from www.virtualdyno.net which does similar things.

regards
BB

So i need to go WOT in order for these charts to show up? I got one yesterday on a pull but it only logged at 74 HP which I know is incorrect. Thanks for the response BTW.

To get acceptable result you need to log WOT from rpm 2k to redline.
Then you get curve over the total rpm and might get higher number than you mention.
You also need to choose correct vehicle, gear ratios and weight, which is the most important value you enter.
Usually the graphs do not start to plot until the software senses that the accelerator pedal is above ~97% while driving
It is better to log WOT runs and then look at the data afterwards.
Hope this helps.

ECU FLASH( NO vehicle interface

Hello all,

I recently installed ecu flash/ evoscan on my laptop and I am having some issues. The day I installed it, it took like 3 install/uninstalls to get everything running. I logged 3 runs so I figured it was good to go. Today I plugged in and get nothing...just says "No Vehicle interface" on ECU FLash. Evo Scan says
"Error: OpenPort 1.3U USB Cable Not Responding, perhaps select OpenPort 2.0 if you have that.
Info: Datalogger Ended

Its almost like its not recognizing the drivers so I re-installed the 1.3 tactrix drivers 3 times...still nothing.

using windows 7/ 1.3U cable and latest of both programs

Im totally fustrated any help would be great....thanks

Mitsulogger Tactrix Detection Problem

New to Mitsulogger, unzipped it to its own folder, connected my tactrix 2.0 and opened the program...it will not detect my cable. I can click redetect and uncheck demo mode as many times as I want but it always defaults back to demo mode, and the box next to redetect is grayed out.

The cable is confirmed working, drivers are installed, I can use ECUFlash and EvoScan just fine.

Anybody else have this issue? How did you fix it? The computer is running Windows 7 home ultimate 64-bit if that matters, and Mitsulogger is the 2.0 beta 1. Thanks!

I can't seem to copy data from Evoscans datalog review Panel #1. I'm going through the SD VE logging exercise as outlined by jscbanks and whenever I highlight the dataset I get a copy of whatever is in Panel #2.

It's irritating to have to manually enter the data back into excel to continue working with it. Does anyone have a tip here?

Thanks!

Hey all,
new to ecuflash and evoscan, just plugged into my car for the 1st time today (right, here goes....) ok, so 1.3 cable, evoscan v2.9.0023, 2006 evo. The car i purchased has been flash tuned before by buschar racing. the only thing i am trying to do is to insert a force pass patch, which i believe I have wrapped my head around how to do it. my problem is when I use ecuflash to read the ecm, the only thing that shows up in the ROM metadata is the very top line marked rom. and this is what is says:

make: Mitsubishi
model: Airtrek
submodel: Turbo
market: JDM
transmission: Auto
year: 2005
ecu ID: none
case ID: none
internal ID:88590715
Flash Method: mitsukernelocp
Memory Module: SH7055
Checksum Module:
Inherits:

I was expecting to get a large list of parameters below that ROM catagory just like in the ECUFlash videos. The first time I read the ecm it did give me a pop up window that said something about the file could not be read. it asked me if I wanted to save it as/is or look for something to decode it. at one point it asked me if i wanted to open as a developer (not recommended). everytime since then the pop up window does not come up and those are the only values it gives me (the top ROM line).

I did some more reading and then tried to read the data with evoscan. I did another read ecm from evoscan using ecm type: 2005-07 Evo9/Eclipse AT using EvoScan OP 1.3R/1.3U 16pin+12pin Cable

It seemed to work fine, completed the read, then just listed the read file on the left as
FlashImage_20141501_2231.hex

now how/where do I open and read that file?
....we gonna learn some things.....

Just save it somewhere then open it with EcuFlash - simple!

You have the wrong J2534 drivers, or they have not been installed correctly. Uninstall EcuFlash and the all the Tactrix Windows Driver Packages using the control panel. Restart. Reinstall EcuFlash which also installs the right drivers and try again.

Nimpoc - Unfortunately that is just the way it works.

! Tip - Dump your log to Excel and do the analysis there using a pivot table. PM me your email address if you want a copy of my sheet. It's way too big to upload
