But .4 should matter right??

Its hard to say, On my car I'm at 100% before the pedal is actually "pinned" and other cars seem to be calibrated to get around 100% (99.6%-100%) when the throttle is pinned, I don't think it really matters for that last step.

Where it would matter is if your TPS was fouled up (as noted in another thread) where it may read 50% at WOT, or something along those lines, where it could significantly affect the ECU's calculations.

MJack, so as I understand it your TPS hits 100% before the throttle plate? Its not the throttle plate is trying to come back around or something like that?

Yep, when I measured my sensor output, its .6-.7v fully closed, and 4.9v or something along those lines before the throttle is wide open, basically this works out to 13% throttle at idle on MUT (0% on obd-II and the UTEC) and 100% at what feels to be 3/4 throttle.

Its not pulling the throttlebody open any more than any other car, its just the sensor indicates its open all the way before the throttle actually is.

This is actually an interesting observation as my car was always a "Ringer" when it was newer, and I had run a 12.93 on a pretty much bone stock car, and this, along with the possibility of the BCS solenoid not working properly, were what we speculated as the reason the car was so quick stock. Actually, we never found the reason why it was quick, just that these are the two prominent anomolous things noticed, the DV being installed backwards from the factory was another thing at the time.
