I am seeing similar WGDC as these, by running a forge wastegate actuator (red spring), stock pill by the wategate; but I have removed the pill that is in the line going from the solenoid to the intake tube. I am just interested to see/know what your setup is?

Most people just remove the pill at the solenoid..

The pill at the compressor housing will set the base level of boost and the rate at which it hits (the curve) the second restrictor pill at the solenoid will set the range and response (spike)

Right, which is why some people change the pill at the compressor to one with a smaller hole in it, which I believe should raise the base level of boost.

Here is a car I tuned last night with the factory stock solenoid and lines, with a different restrictor at the compressor, and the solenoid side pill out.

It created more boost and a little more control:

You have all that extra stuff, not to mention yours is a EVO 9 with mivec and a EVO 9 turbo. Please make an accurate comparison. Thanks. I don't think yours will be legal for T2 even though it retains the stock BCS.
Like MJ said, the factory BCS isn't fast enough for some things, that is where the other systems shine, in response and accuracy. Sure the stock system works, but for truely custom tailored boost curves, there are other options as well.
If you do need to retain the stock system for some racing, yes it will work, not as well, but it will work. There are big gains to be had as far as response, even low to mid throttle with a different system. "

Lol - oh please bryan, drop off this direct comparison bs. . I merely said that nj can utilize the stock bcs and still be successful with it.Are you feeling threatened or something? Shouldnt u try to respond to cb as well and not single me out? Lol

And "extra stuff"? Lol. Yes, i would rather run lower boost, less timing, lower afrs producing the same, safer power with extra mods? Why wouldnt u in ur right mind? Or would you care to explain why you have a *real* "open track" tune that produces less boost and power? P.s. Might want to mention next time you pull that old pic of my car that it made 342whp without cams or gears too.

Is the green line the boost trace spiking to 22 and tapering to 18 ? Bottom is AFR ?

Cool

RazorLab; Pm me regarding the system you have put together. I want to spike 21 very early and hold 20 to redline using the ECu. I already have a forge diverter and will soon have a Forge wastegate actuator. I'll need to know what WGA spring and what other equipment to buy from you ( or make or source elsewhere )

For those people wanting different restrictor sizes, I can make these out of nylon to your specs from .038" ID to .062" ID in .001" increments. Also in the length you specify. Very minimal cost. PM me

Milburn

Let me know when your first track event is and we can have a better discussion. Thanks!

Who are you refering to, the car on the topic? I though it is a 05VIII.

Anyhow, finally in the 2.12 seconds like you were, 3rd gear, 4000 to 6000rpm, at 23 psi
