Approximate boost number

Guys,

Is there a formula that I can use to figure out the approximate boost from a log for a car that does not have a boost gauge? It does not have to be exact. Just an approximation @ peak load.

I attached the log for the car in question.

Thanks a bunch

based on my car, from 3.5k-4k.
Loadcalc from Evoscan
~230-235 = ~1.4 bar
~210-215 = ~1.15-1.2 bar
~245-255 = ~1.5-1.6 bar

If the guys car is a completely stock 05, he can try out my settings that I posted in another thread, accidentaly put it in the 'general tuning' section.

without the JDM map sensor you will only see 14 psi which is the limitation of the USM map sensor.

NJ -- On my 9 with 24 psi peak at 3500 RPM my load is ~250 in evoscan v.98. That said, I hit higher loads in v.97 with similar to less boost, so I don't know if something is wrong with my car or v.98 uses a different formula. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

The best that could be done is to try to estimate boost from load, but there are a several problems with doing this. First is that LoadAF is going to be pretty far off because the MAF signal clips. However, load can also be calculated from IPW, AFRMAP, and batt V. You've got IPW and AFRMAP. Batt V doesn't change that much, so this would get you a load value that might track with boost a little better. Then you've got to figure out the scaling factor between load and boost. If you look at some of the logs I've posted, you can get an idea there.
