Okay, after some messing around with EvoScan I'm now reading -6.38 boost (vacuum) with the car off. The formula I'm using is 0.19347*x-14.7. I'm in San Diego so I'm at sea level. I could use some help. Are the settings for the Omni 7 bar the same as the 4 bar? I'm editing the Mitsubishi MUTII EFI.xml file found in EvoScan v2.9-->Data Settings. Is this the xml file I'm supposed to be editing for a 03 VIII. I'm using the 94170008 rom. Thanks for any help that comes my way.

So I went through the steps again and I still wind up in the same spot. Seems like at this point it would be the map sensor itself. Maybe the 7 bars are set up differently than the 4 bars.

I still would like someone more experienced to chime in though.

So after a few minutes of messing around with EvoScan I was able to log -.0008 boost with the car off. But that was after I changed the formula from 0.19347*x-14.7 to 0.19347*x-8.32. That's okay with me until someone tells me otherwise. But when I log at idle I'm only reading -2.9- -2.7 boost. I'd love for someone to let me know what I'm doing wrong.

You may have an electrical issue. If there is a poor sensor ground, this can occur.

We just tracked down a faulty ECU that had a damaged 5v sensor output. To test yours, with the engine off and the key in the ON position, measure voltage between pins 81 & 92. It should be 5.00Vdc exactly. The car we just tested was only 3.40Vdc and with a new ECU it was back to 5.00Vdc again.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that tonight at work. Do those wires go directly to the MAP sensor? I'd imagine I'd be able to meter at the sensor itself since those pins are simply power and ground for various 5v sensors. Fortunately this is my area of expertise hence the username. I'll look in the wiring diagram. Though I don't believe it's a power distribution problem, it wouldn't hurt to check it anyways.

So I metered at the sensor and I'm getting 5v to the sensor from pins 2 and 3.

Well I haven't resolved my issue yet. I figured I'll just log a pull and see what I get.

Just as I had expected, not reading correctly. I'm reading 11 PSI peak from my Omni 7 bar but my Defi is reading 25 PSI. You can read my last few posts to get caught up on my problem. Would love more ideas, thanks.

I've been searching around for a while now and can't seem to find the map sensor definition tables for my JDM IX MR...80920002 (inherits 88570008)
I just installed an Omni 4 bar and am unable to rescale it because the tables aren't defined. Thanks for the help in advance guys.
