Part of the issue is its the EDM rom and most people here have experience with either the JDM or the USDM. Its not quite just a V16 of what we have though. It seems that the addresses for OBDII related functions as well as Lean Spool are the same more or less between all the ROMS only being dependant on year (03-04 is different than 05-06 for lean spool).

If you understand how to add new definitions, add them to your ROM and see if the values correlate as far as lean spool and the O2 addresses. As far as 2 byte load that is also outside my frame of reference.

I believe I'd searched for it... mine is evo7 JDM XML. Not IX

Thanks for the relpy. I am interested in 2 bytes load, but not in lean spool disable.
I have checked my ROM image and in all addresses listed I have no data (FF FF).

I think I will survive without it...

Post your entire XML file as an attachment and someone will probably take a look at it.

Your entries look good. Have you tried switching to "Developer" mode in ECUFlash? The option is in one of the pulldown menus.

All IX ROMs are the same for lean spool. Add the definitions according to the listed instructions in the first post and you'll be fine.

Any more info on the EDM 88840016 ROM (2 byte load)?

Haven't quit understood all this yet, but when I log "Load MUT 2Byte Mod" I get some wierd values (between 2000-5000). Can someone confirm that these values are useless without doing the mod in the XML and ROM file? Haven't really seen any explanatory background info on the 2-byte load topic..

What do people with the 88840016 Rom do when tuning without the 2byte load, if the values aren't accurate? Are there any other threads on this topic?

Hold on a few more days, and this "how-to" is going to have a new 2-byte load for all ROMs.
