The only thing that would differ from the normaly tuning methodology is that you may need to bump up the idle RPM target values a little bit, depending on how aggressive the cams are and what they are timed at.

What would you recommend bumping the "desired idle rpm neutral" to for a 272/264 cam combo? Stock the setting is 852 when the car is warmed up.

I have a 272/264 combo and I bumped it up 100 RPM. Haven't even touched timing at idle and they idle very good.

whether it is a good idea or not(?) with the revolver cams it took a lot of timing to idle well, that plus a 1000 rpm. it also required twisting the biss screw, now I can only guess if the screw is in a good spot. :-(

I've since removed them so no new info.

I'm not sure if the MUT request has been found...haven't really looked, but you can tell if your BISS is set correctly by logging your ISCV position. There is a range of values, depening on what units are logged, and you want this value to be right in the middle. This means that the ISCV has it's full adjustment range both up and down.

I have a 272/264 set up and my target rpm is 1050 with about 14* of timing. Idles real smooth

I didn't have to adjust my idle at all when I was running a 272/272 combo (-4/-1 cam gear setting). I guess if it's prone to stalling, then maybe bump it up a little bit to 950 or so. If you bump up the "desired idle rpm neutral", then I'd also bump up the other idle settings by at least the same amount.

I have noticed on my car that if I increase the colder ranges of the idle target values (i.e., 34 degrees and lower), it starts to affect the RPM between shifts - I start to see the "rising rpm between shifts" phenomenon.
