Check in the South Region Forum for a tuner named KevinD he does great work, and it'll be worth your drive.

currently the car is running:
Greddy ti 3"
Invidia test pipe
boost controller (22-23psi)

It feels pretty strong, 300-330ish whp..

Next week once I get some time ill install the other pieces.. turn the boost up to 30psi daily... 400ishwhp

Greetings from Iraq! To make sure that I'm up to speed, KevinD, what do you require in order to get a tune done? I guess what I'm asking is how does the process work and how much are you charging? I've always thought that you needed a wideband O2 sensor and/or a EMS in order to do tuning. Do you use ECU flash and that's it?

i have a wideband system i made that i put on your car. it is the zeitronix package, with my own harness to make it easy to put on your car.

the biggest requirement for me is that you have a catback exhaust with a o2 sensor coming out the side. a stock evo 9 has the sensor coming out the top of the cat which makes it much harder to replace with my sensor. i would preffer a test pipe as well, but if need be we can take into account the catalyzed exhaust if you do have a cat on the car.

other then that, i should have no problem tuning it. i do have ECUflash and evoscan/mitsulogger/zeitronix software to log everything with and flash the stock ecu. i charge 200 dollars for a complete custom wideband tune. i do not travel as of yet, but i am thinking of making a drive down to houston/austin/SA area in may with some evo buddies and making a tuning weekend out of it. my prices will be slightly higher though if i travel to cover my expenses.

i will give you all the files, i make of yours so you can review them and save them for your own personal use, or if you want to begin tuning yourself, thats up to you.

you can PM me, email me, or call me if you want to set something up. i am quite busy so it will take a few days/week notice to do a tune especially if you are going to travel to get it done. i want to ensure you get all the time you need in case anything goes wrong, or parts need to be replaced (for example i recommend doing a boost leak test to make sure the tune is exactly on... and this can take 20 minutes, or a few hours depending on how many leaks there are).

Great! You have a wideband O2 system. I have the APS turbo-back exhaust system for my VIII without a test pipe. I purchased one a while back only to find out that it needed to be cut in order to fit right. Apparently, when the APS kit was installed, my stock catalytic converter was cut and then welded in order for things to fit. If you're able to do some cutting/welding, I can purchase another test pipe and we can do the entire process. I understand about you not traveling. I don't mind making the drive up north from Austin. It'll be nice for me and my son to get away. I have the ECU flash software as well and I played around with it a bit before I came to Iraq. Yep. Iraq! Are we talking about a tune on the road or on a dyno? I'll do what I can to get the leak test completed beforehand but if I have any issues, could you help me out? I'll have my non-ball-bearing 50 Trim installed with cams and a meth kit by then. Will you still be able to do the tune? Thanks.
