There was some argument somewhere around page 2 or 3 where other members said that 4th gear pulls are not necessary. I have done some 4th gear pulls up to 6k rpm but I can't really find open road that will allow much more.

So for now its 3rd gear and just being conservative. I do log all of the aforementioned items.

yes, if you guys are tuning like i recommended, you will NOT be hitting 120mph! One last time, please tune doing 3rd gear pulls....

Refer to my posts in this thread for accurate information as to why you should use 3rd gear for tuning.

iTune,

How much room for advancement in the timing do you think i have? I'm no expert on this matter and practicing here has taught me that smoothness of the timing transitions seems to play as big a role in knock sum as the timing itself.

Logs and rom are a few posts back.

i didnt have a chance to look at your log, but what load columns are you hitting at peak torque? what does it taper to?

From the look of it, you could probably advance timing a few more degs between 3000-4000rpm(peak torque), but it's hard to say without knowing what loads you are hitting.

i'm assuming you are hitting 220-240 peak then tapering. Either way, peak power looks about right, but peak torque looks like you would get a few more degs out of it, even on 91 octane.

What AFRs are you tuning for?

Calculated load is logged along with AFR from the zeitronix.

I see 11.1 down to 10.9 with a little variation.
