I really doubt I have a boost leak, as it was a very straight forward reflash---> oh now my car is massive rich.

also my boost gauge is reading from the intake manifold ad is holding solid at 1.5-1.4 bar from 2800rpm-redline. nonetheless I will check all my hose connections next time I wash it with some soapy water and some free revs, never hurts to be sure.

I had a night and day Difference with my Kunal Tune.. I know he's not well known yet I think because he's trying to get vendor status, but he spent over 5 personal hours to get my tune dialed in perfectly. Super nice guy.

Yeah you're goin to need a laptop too. It doesn't have to be anything to fancy. Just enough to run windows xp or even 2000. You can find a used one for pretty cheap, few hundred bucks or so.
And definitely check for a boost leaks too. That could be part of the problem but it's also one of Al's infamous answers to everything.
Today, a friend and I retuned my car and it's pulling harder with almost no knock and a higher boost level, compaired to the dynoflash tune.

You shouldnt compare a custom tune to a mail-in. Not both of them are apples if you know what i mean.

Should I get a factory replacement wideband for tuning purposes if I will be doing a reflash tune like this? I know AEM sells them at a fair price.

Just not sure if that is something I will need, thanks!

The factory O2 sensor is narrow band. So yes you should get an aftermarket wideband O2 setup. Otherwise how are you going to do at least a basic verification that the new tune is safe?

AEM is ok I really prefer the Innovate XD-16 Wideband its very nice has a very broad read on it. Its a tad pricey but well worth it.

It was a custom tune that I had from Al. Another friend of mine has the same mods I have and a mail in tune from Al and his tune was leaner than my custom tune.

Yeah a wideband will also be needed so you can watch a/f's while logging. Zeitronix, innovative and a few other widebands can be used with evoscan so you can log boost. Or you could get the JDM 3bar sensor and log it that way.

Anyone that needs to spend 5 hours on a reflash, does not know what they are doing. Sorry.
