Emissions

How are you guys getting around Emissions with EcuFlashed ECUs? I understand that you can clear CEL with it, but can you also reset the Ready state o fthe parameters that they check off?

once you clear the CEL, it also rest all the moniter to not ready state and you won't pass emission if any of the moniter is in not ready state.

From my understanding when it comes to flashed(retuned) ecu, while you are doing normal driving, the ecu is running on a somewhat stock map. Once you floor it, it runs a different map(this is the map that we retuned). It's true once you reset the ecu, it will go in a "not ready" stage but after driving it around, it will go to "ready" state.

Right, This is true with any device that clears your CEL. I wanted to know if there was as way to Modify the ECU code produce a "ready state" without actually being ready (IE to full the Emissions people).

Not really, as far as I know. The ECU is getting all the signals from all the sensors so it can "learn" so the car will run efficient.

Search a little deeper. There is a ecuflash mod out there that will help you keep all parameters in the "pass"'state. I would look for you but on an iPhone it's a pain. If I find it I will post it.
