very nice. its getting closer to reading peak at the right rpm

just a thought but, can you move the key "base whp", etc and move it to the right of the graph under the outputs, and make it a smidge larger... sorry to nit pick. the graph looks dope already.

Well, I'm going back and forth between OpenOffice and Microsoft Excel trying to make sure everything looks decent but for some reason the location of the graph and the legend are different in both. I'm attaching the finished product in this post so if anyone knows how to LOCK the positions and confirm they stay put with both versions i would greatly appreciate it.

This is my first attempt at creating anything with Excel so bare with me haha.

Cliff Notes: A TON of knock in both runs, so the comparison is going to be moot, but I may post it up anyway. Read on for a full explanation.

Edit: After going through the latest iteration of my new ROM (96530006), it looks like I forgot to load my previous tune into it (I could have sworn I did, but maybe when I added the RAM Mut table I used a new copy or something). I guess I am retarded sometimes. So, it looks like all of this knock is most likely tune based and I will have it all solved by tomorrow. If I had just made sure of the tune before hand, I could have had some good before/after data.

(edited out a lot of unnecessary reading after realizing my mistake.) To make a long story short, both before and after had a ton of knock, in the range of 20 counts. And to top it off, I couldn't get any logs with the cut-out opened because I was hitting fuel cut, because of the stock tune in there still.

looks good! Great work, you almost have it perfect! The graph is now showing my peak value @ the correct RPM, but now the "output" is still reading @ 4000. Check it out... I dont know how to lock it, but Im sure you already know you can just drag and drop it where you like (w/in the graph)

Send me that version of my spreadsheet with your log loaded to my regular email (punkdivo78 at hotmail dot com) so I can see if I can track down the error. The issue with the graph and legend is that when you look at it in excel, everything is fine. If you look at it in OpenOffice, the graph and legend somehow end up in a different layout slightly.

Yeah, there is something wrong with the latest file where hp/tq aren't crossing at 5252 anymore.

Here are my comarison logs...take them with a grain of salt (read above). Also, here in Chicago we have about 20 mph winds today and my before run was somewhat into the wind and the after run was somewhat with the wind, so the numbers may be even more off(yeah I know, I know...same road, same direction, blah, blah...trying to avoid traffic and the police and I knew the logs were crap anyway, so I didn't care). So, yeah, pretty much useless. But, I said I would post, so here ya go (mustang correction and temp/baro corrected):

I don't know why the comparison run was so wavy/choppy. That was had 25 lines per sec of 18 items being logged via DMA. The base run has 12-13 lines per second. So, the second should be even smoother...maybe the smoothing function is messing with that a bit.

You are very correct sir! I attached the new version with corrected dyno graph ranges. I dont think there is anything we can do about the peak torque not matching your dyno figures since i dont think we'll ever get the simulator to ever match the conditions of a dyno perfectly.

One last change...on the base pull, you have the default correction factor to 1.02, but on the comparison, you have 1.20. That was my issue with my original screenshot above, until I noticed the difference.

Yeah I originally did that to show the difference between a mustang dyno and a Dynojet but I should keep them both set for dynojet settings by default since the majority of guys want to know THOSE numbers for bragging rights lol.

Once everyone has helped to smooth out the rough edges on this, I'll post a new thread with the final version and all of the helpful tips for new users.

I know this is nitpicking, but one more thing. Change the base pull numbers on the right of the graph from dark blue to sky blue...much easier to read.
