I ordered through amazon.com, just paste in the part # and it will show up. I believe the solenoid was $15 and pigtail was $25. Yea, I know its weird the pigtail was more, but you get free shipping if you get one from amazon directly.

AC Delco on amazon has the pigtail for $16, but then you would have to pay seperate shipping for solenoid and pigtail.
Thanks for the info.

Well, this is my first attempt at using any ecu controlled boost (using a GM 3 port), and I think it well. Reason being, I want to run lower boost on pump than E85 (obviously), and I didn't want to keep f'ing around with the MBC. I have it set to 22psi and it holds it all the way up. I'm attaching a log so I could get some input on further tuning of the correction tables and other tables. I admit I don't know what to adjust in those tables when looking at the log- I don't know if that's the way it supposed to look or if it's just plain awful. The car drives great though.... I wanted to get knowledge on tuning boost on pump first before I start ramping it up on E85. Please give me any suggestions, tips, inputs. Accepting all criticism. Sorry for the length of the log- the two pulls start around line 1880. The road was slightly downhill=lower load levels.

I don't see any boost data in there. Do you have a JDM MAP? If so log it!

Your WG correction and load error is pegged as well, so it doesn't look right to me.

Don't have a 3 bar yet- can't afford it Here is a screen shot of my current settings. What do I need to adjust in order to reduce the amount of error correction and load correction?

I've gotten better at tuning this - I think. I'm hitting and holding 23psi on pump gas until redline with no problem. My logs show that my WGDC is better +-5 through out max, but my load error is still going a little crazy. If load error is positive do you lower the BDEL or raise it? Another question is, if I'm hitting and maintaining my requested boost, how important is it to try to get the load error closest to zero? I've done a pulls back to back and the load error seems kinda inconsistent and I don't want to chase my tail if the car is driving fine.

I thought it was necessary to have a jdm map sensor to control boost via the ecu and gm 3 port ?

No- you just need to log boost accurately. I'm logging with my eyeballs and an Autometer

I just started with ecu controlled boost also and I have my baseline boost tables set to 30 psi at peak tapering to 23 psi at redline.

First time out I kept it conservative but immediately found it wasnt enough. Im running pump meth so you can say Im pushing the car in the area's or boost and timing not really leaning out much.

But with straight 100% wastegate duty cycle Im getting 32 psi at peak tapering right to 23 psi to redline. Its a little high at spool up but the car isnt knocking. I backed my timing down before upping the boost. It seems to like it where its at actually. pulls much harder.

Im just not sure if its bad to have the wastegate tables maxed out. I still have some safety limits in like boost limit and all that.

if anyone is curious, here are the tables that will get you close to 23psi (no taper) on pump gas and 27psi on E85.

Hi guys,

Since I dont have a JDM 3bar to log the boost I look only inside turbo boost gauge and in wot I have all the time 1,5 bar(22 psi) with tbec at 0

I was a long log so this is the results....

i actually just did a reread on this thread to familiarize myself so i can experiment with a normally open solenoid to get it running.

UPDATED STEP 6 - Reposted the pic and explained the running of the vacuum lines better.

Is there any steps for evoscan in order to see the GM3 port?

I don`t see the GM3 signal into evoscan after I install the solenoid

Also the formula remain the same right?

thanks

You are just monitoring WG duty cycle, and all other WG monitoring (error, etc)- the one that's always been there. No need to add definitions or special formulas for the GM 3 port. Plug and play basically, minus the wiring work.
